Chiang Mai D Hostel

A really nice hostel at the foot of the mountain and by the university, in other words in the best spot in the city . we had the double room which was clean and large enough . the shared bathroom was actually our own, only in the hall and not in the room itself . the owners are really pleasant, the bed comfortable . we loved the common space next ton the reception . if there' s one thing that could be better it's that in the bathroom the shower is by the door and the toilet farther away so once you take a shower, the whole bathroom becomes a lake for an hour or two. i suppose a mop in the bathroom (or one of those rubber window cleaning thingies) would solve the issue. apart from this, perfect. we initially booked 2 nights there and liked it so much we stayed 3 more.

Quiet, cosy and clean hostel. Nice bed and laundry facilities at a reasonable charge. You can find nice cafes, dessert places and convenient stores down the street. In the evening, you can find interesting street food stalls along the road and the food is yummy. The monk hill hiking trail is near the hostel, it is nice to have a hike up the hill.
